Autumn Painting Breaks
Now that the time has changed and winter is setting it is time to think of ways to pass the long evenings and with so many options out there for classes and courses we are spoilt for choice. However due to time constraints and work pressures it is not always possible to fit these around our lifestyles. We all need a way to relax and what better way to do it other than at our own leisure, making painting the perfect option for you this Winter. This can be done day or night and at your own leisure and wether you are a buddy Picasso or just enjoy the relaxation of being creative, painting is definitely a hobby to explore. To start you off or refresh your already existing skills the Silver Tassie Hotel are holding painting workshops this November. The workshops will be over a two days with renowned artists such as Harry Feeney and Dermot Cavanagh
Workshops on 14th & 15th November
ARTIST HARRY FEENEY “Relax with Watercolour” - Acclaimed Irish Artist Harry Feeney welcomes you to come and learn with him on how to relax with Watercolour. Harry began painting seriously in 1990 and by 1995 he gave up the day job and began painting for a living which he has continued to do successfully to this day. Harry got an opportunity to do a pilot programme for television in 2006, they liked him and so the first series was filmed in November 2006. He now enjoys teaching the skills he has developed over the years and if you would like to give it a go, Harry would be only too happy to help and advice.
Workshops 21st & 22nd November
ARTIST DERMOT CAVANAGH “ Awash with Colour” -This 2 Day Watercolour workshop, which will be the ultimate painting experience with each participant receiving one-to-one guidance. Your sense of achievement will soon be realized as you begin to create your own watercolour masterpiece under Dermot’s world famous guidance, demonstrated during 74 episodes of his hit BBC T.V. Series “Awash with Colour”. Dermot will be passing on the tips and tricks of the trade as he takes you through your painting step-by-step.
Both workshops include refreshments and lunch each day and are optional as residential classes if you wish to avail of overnight accommodation. Workshops are from 10am – 4.30pm each day.
